Sounds like some kid kicked a sink, knocking it off the wall and causing water to spray everywhere. They have had to shut off the water and are sending kids home. On parent visiting day. I hope they can ID this kid and there are serious consequences.
I am furious. |
| They didn't want parents to come, huh? |
| Were you planning to visit today? I heard that this year, parent visiting day was going to be on Veteran's Day (Nov 12). |

OP. I have kids in other MCPS schools and they have visiting day today. I assumed incorrectly that all the schools were hosting it today. I apology for my mistake.
Still so mad for the kids and staff, especially building services. |
Veteran’s Day is November 11. |
| My son just showed me video from the school---sink was kicked off wall and it's like a fire hydrant spewing water- hallways look flooded and lots of damage. Hope they can identify the student responsible. |
Agreed! This is infruriating. |
I'm betting the student will not be charged financially for the damage they caused. And I'm betting some mental health excuse will be used to justify the property destruction. |
| Have students been able to get out?? |
Bill the parents! They just need to show the video to a few kids and that kid will be identified. Send the repair bill to the parents and sick of all of this destructive behavior happening at school. It’s not going to end until kids start being accountable and by extension their parents. |
Send your son's video footage to MoCo 360 or MoCo Show. The only thing MCPS responds to is media spotlight or lawsuits. |
| Please don't say it was some idiotic challenge that was posted on TT? Remember a few years ago, they had one - ripping something off from bathroom? |
Paying out someone is what media spotlight did. |
I'm PP. Thanks for the correction. |
