This gathering was held on the National Mall this weekend. The NY Times story glosses over the ties to the New Apostolic Reformation - a movement that seeks Christian dominionism over all aspects of society.
I think all of these people are total lunatics, but there's no denying there are a lot of them. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/10/12/us/2024-election-conservative-christian-women.html?ogrp=ctr&unlocked_article_code=1.R04.f-st.LeE1KziccVeh&smid=url-share https://amillionwomen.org/ https://x.com/TaylorMatthewD/status/1845332652397625577 |
| they are core to Trump's base. If you don't think they will have an outsized voice in a Trump administration, then I have a bridge to sell you. |
Oh I know they will. That's one reason why I have an issue with the NY Times article glossing over the goals of this group. |
Send this to all the Muslims in Michigan who think that Trump & Stein will be great for them |
| How many people showed up? |
| So many catch-phrase boogeymen these days. How does anyone keep up? LMAO! |
It depends on who you ask, but if you read the Twitter thread, Matthew Taylor estimates tens of thousands to maybe 100k. The folks at the event say 250k. The Twitter guy - Matthew Taylor - is a religious scholar interested in interfaith issues - Muslim, Christian, Jewish. |
Oh yeah, there's no basis in fact or history to worry about this. /s |
Obviously referring to "The Crusades"? That's been awhile. Just saying.
|
| Amazing how anti-Christian and anti-Semitic the US has become. |
lol.... wut? Is today opposite day or something? |
“religious scholar” has to be the biggest oxymoron in the English language. (emphasis on “moron”, which is necessary when referring to anything religious) These silly trumpers. They never fail to disappoint. |
The village bigot has joined the conversation. |
