Is the worst move.
I say this as someone who works in PR and social media. It’s literally doubling down on all the things that made people dislike her. Either come back to social and engage or don’t come back. Side note what does this say about Ryan r’s marketing firm that no one is telling him this? |
| Be like Ryan G and just don’t engage in all this social media foolishness. |
| Maybe if Chapelle did this she wouldn’t be going through the same thing she is now. |
| You must be really bad at your job, then. |
| Good for her. What does she need to be doing any of that sh*t for anyway? She already has an acting career. Girl do yourself a favor and just delete it all. |
| I work in PR and social media (not for a celebrity) but don't think this is that bad though. Why should women allow people to just say whatever they want on their pages? |
Well the difference is she's hawking various products / businesses and that's her focus. Hard to do that without social. It's not like Ryan G etc who were mentioned above. |
| Still cannot believe that she and Ryan promoted her alcohol brand during the movie premiere. Alcohol is the fuel of abuse! One of the drinks was apparently named "Ryle You Wait". Ryle is the name of the abuser in the movie... who thought that was a good idea 😭 |
| I hope they are cancelled soon |

If I were a celebrity I'd stay off social media. Just do your job, no need to curate an interactive platform that could go off the rails.
Half the people would be insulting you, half would be praising you. None of it real. |
| She thought she could control the fame monster. It loved her until it didn't. |
She knows she's not a good actor and she's aging out of the young woman roles, so she's been hustling hard for years for something to stick: lifestyle, cooking, no-alcohol drinks, alcoholic drinks, hair products |

Social media, media relations and crisis communications are part of my job as well, OP.
If Blake Lively were the head of the World Health Organization, was a senator, or was the CEO of a major corporation, I would agree with you. But she is not. She is a human being who represents herself (and yes, a few brands and product partnerships, but not at a “I will go destitute if no one buys this product sort of way.”) Her physical and mental health are worth more than getting an A+ from the public. In a few years, this will have passed and people will be back to adoring her for a red carpet dress or because they watched “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” with their daughter and felt nostalgic. She is a celebrity who has made a few missteps. My goodness, so did Elizabeth Taylor, Liza Minelli, Drew Barrymore, Patrick Downey Jr., Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, the list goes on forever. |

It’s just always more, more, more with this couple. Not enough to have acting careers, they each have to have like four companies. It’s a little ridiculous and people are getting sick of it.
I’m convinced their whole relationship is very transactional and just a business deal like everything else in their life. I am shocked to see her advertising her hair care line again though, I thought that was already done. |
| Wait what did I miss. |
