Wow, I was taken aback after hearing someone say that a designer handbag was fake because the person carrying it was overweight.
Do people really feel this way? I have seen people of all sizes and never thought that weight meant they were not wealthy. I have seen threads here about weight as well. This shocked me. |
It’s probably the person‘s entire vibe/aura. If you saw me with a bag, you would probably assume it’s fake because I just don’t look like the person who would carry around a real bag. And you would be right.
I never even think about it Except those ugly LV totes. They make millions of fake ones. Otherwise I don’t notice
Certainly not by their weight. Fakes are fairly easy to spot though.
It depends on the whole look of the person, the enviornment we are in, if they are with another person/group and what they look like, etc.
I seriously don't care enough to go spotting fake bags. If it looks good and owner likes it, its good enough. It doesn't matter when, how, where, for how much they bought it for and whether they did the authentication and appraisal or not. Who care? Probably some materialist and obsessed women but not rest of the population.
*Personally, I wouldn't buy a bag so popular that fakes are being made and bought.
I was driving through a very poor area of DC yesterday and was surprised to see a lady carrying an Lv neverfull. Assumed it was fake.
I would be concerned about designer's loss if its a small brand but not for luxury brands making 1000% profit. They have money to spend on lawyers and logos.
Really? You are shocked that people make negative assumptions about people based on their weight?
|
I was shocked by how much people of all SES like obviously labeled designer or brand stuff in the DC metro.
Doesn't matter whether it is real or fake to me, it all looks like people want to be an unpaid advertisement. So I think less of all of them, for that reason. |
I genuinely don't even think about this
Personal grooming/upkeep (or lack thereof). Not talking about weight - more like hair, skin, nails.
I don't know enough about luxury brands to know if I should be impressed by them and try to find fakes.
