Screaming woman at Falls Church Whole Foods parking lot

Anonymous
To the woman who was almost bumped by a car in the Whole Foods parking lot because you were crossing without paying attention and also not a crosswalk… I understand being scared by the experience, but your reaction was not commiserate with the situation. You were storming through the parking lot, screaming “douche bag” climbing over pumpkins on the sidewalk past customers to get to the store manager to report the driver, resulted in scaring many children. FWIW I was not with any children of my own, but saw the looks of other families as you were ranting and screaming. If you recognize yourself in this, I suggest you go talk to a professional about your experience because your reaction was quite concerning.

What's it to you? You're the person who almost hit her?

I think the word you’re looking for is commensurate? Also that entire scenario sounds f-ing hilarious.

Which parking lots have crosswalks?

Come on man When you’re in a Whole Foods parking lot, you have to act like toddlers are running everywhere.

*commensurate.
No-one commiserated with the victim there, which would have probably gone a long way.
"but your reaction was not commiserate with the situation." makes you appear quite cond-ass-ending.

Never change DCUM.

Could this person be unhoused/at risk/experiencing a negative mental health episode/under the influence or all of the above?

^This. You always are in a constant lookout for pedestrians in a parking lot.

I kind of love this screaming woman. Do what it takes to get drivers out of their bubble and notice pedestrians. Even the OP trying to shame her by saying she was "crossing without paying attention and also not a crosswalk." Who cares? Her inattention doesn't harm anyone. The drivers are the one who need to pay attention. Because if they don't, it'll get weird!
