Miralax is really gentle and effective. Just use it.
Once you’re back closer to normal, try prunes and chia seeds and all that stuff. But miralax isn’t insane. It’s really gentle, it just pulls water into your stool to make things easier. Lots of kids take it daily long term. |

| Sorry OP, I’m pregnant with #2 and it’s horrible as well. Like you I balked at OB suggestion for daily Miralax but I was in so much pain from bloating and it was also making hemorrhoids worse. I gave in and it helps so much. Experiment with the amount. I take half the recommended daily dosage and it’s enough to keep it moving. Before this it got so bad I tried another laxative (Dulcolax) and it was a nightmare, Miralax has no negative side effects for me. |
Just for clarity, dulcolax is a stimulant. It’s going to give you horrific cramps. Miralax is not that, it’s just a salt that pulls water into your stool to keep things soft. So very different. |
| Op I picked up prune juice from target. I’ll let you know if it works. It looks like drinking it in the morning is recommended but can also do two (4) oz glasses twice a day. It didn’t too bad. |

| Try getting a squatty potty in addition to any dietary/supplement changes. |
| Miralax. Was night and day after I started taking it. |

| Don’t take a prenatal with iron. Avoid bagels, heavy starches. Oatmeal for breakfast. Tons of water especially mineral water. |
