| Outside of preschool, what activities are your 3-year-olds signed up for? Particularly interested in those in part-time preschools. |
| My 3 year olds did 5 day a week half day preschool. I took them to the indoor pool a lot and they learned to swim from me. That’s all we did. |
| Gymnastics and music class were our biggest hits. Also tried ballet and art class. Anything is fine, it was just about being in a class and practicing learning that way for us really. |
| Mine is older now but at 3 did swimming once a week and dance/ballet once a week. |

Swimming 1x/wk
Dance 1x/wk |
| Two is the maximum I think. |
| Swimming, gymnastics and ice skating. |
| Swim and gymnastics |
| Preschool 9-3, 5 days a week for my 3 year old. No activities. Will probably start swim lessons in the spring to prep for summer, but otherwise with my older child I haven't found activities to be worth it until 5 or so. Better for us to keep it simple. If my 3 year old was in half day only a few days a week maybe I would do one activity. |
| OP here. I’m trying to find some afternoon activities to give us something to do other than playground. Most things seem to be in the morning (or on the weekend). Anyone know of anything for 3-year-olds that starts at maybe 2, 3, or even 4pm? |

My daughter is turning 3 this fall. For the fall semester she’s doing soccer and gymnastics. She’s at preschool five mornings a week and once a week they stay an extra hour for a “lunch bunch.” I feel like that’s a nice balance for her. She will go to the park and have playdates.

I’m in suburban NY, but there are tons of afternoon activities for preschoolers here. Try your local JCC. Lots of afternoon programming at ours. Gymnastics places too. |
Bethesda/Chevy Chase |
| Gymnastics. The morning/weekend classes fill up quickly but the weekday afternoon ones always have openings. |
