Visiting family in another state and they went to Harris Teeter and got subs that you could make to order at Harris Teeter. They were so delicious- Great cold cuts and cheese with the fixings. All the teens loved them and they were a welcome change from.
Is there anywhere around Bethesda where you can order quality subs for takeout – like at a deli counter? I know I could go to Subway, and don't get me wrong, those are not bad, but looking for a step up. |
| Op here - meant to type that they were a welcome change from pizza |

Zero.
MD in general sucks at making sandwiches. The bread in this area is trash. The only ones that can barely pass is Gamellis. Or you have to drive into DC and go to A. Litteri. None of those are near Bethesda though. But overall, DC and the area in geneal is just a very bad sandwich town. |
| You think Harris Teeter subs are delicious? Ugh. |
| I was thinking you wanted hot ones like eggplant parm or meatball or something. Paisano’s further up 270 has really good hot subs. I think their cold subs are also okay. I hadn’t thought of Vance but I bet they are great. The place by strosniders is also pretty good. |

I would think that Harris Teeters everywhere are pretty much the same, so try HT in Bethesda?
Wegmans subs are pretty good (I live in Bethesda and go to the one in City Ridge). I also really like Wagshals subs, but to order a large quantity will be pricier than HT or Wegs. |
| I like Woodmont Deli and Lillit Cafe |
Yes, ugh. Had they spent hours swimming or some other activity? The best hotdog I had was after a white water rafting trip. |
