Over the past two years or so due to a I’ve put on around 10 pounds. This was due to some lapses in my usual healthy diet and slacking on working out consistently.
The downside is that some of my most slim-cut clothes don’t work as well on me, but the upside is that for the first time in my life (outside of when I was breastfeeding) my boobs look pretty good. I have always been kind of a stick figure and having a little extra cushion doesn’t look bad. I am starting to be more mindful of my diet and exercise more frequently. Any chance I can improve my overall health while keeping these pounds and great (relatively, ha) boobs? |
| No. Just get a breast augmentation after you get back to a healthier weight. |
This is actually probably a healthier weight for me. I’ve been underweight my whole life. My BMI is now 19. |
| Ha - I have the exact same conundrum! I’ve always been very skinny but in recent years have put on about 10-20 pounds (varies). For the first time in my life, I actually have breasts and they are perfect! But I could definitely stand to lose around 10 lbs. I don’t want to lose them and I’m not interested in a boob job. |
Yes! It’s rough. In my case I don’t really care to lose weight but I need to stop eating like I’m a varsity athlete teenager. |
Just focus on eating healthy and moving your body. It sounds like you’re at a much better weight now than before. You probably look much better now that you’re not underweight. I understand feeling gross if you’re just eating junk, but are you sure this isn’t all in your head? You sound like you have an unhealthy body image. |
I think I do look better now that I'm not underweight! I want to hold onto these extra pounds and cleavage! However, I got to this place through about two years of stressful life events - two international moves, chronically ill child, stressful job - when my normal routine of exercising a few times a week and eating balanced meals went out the window. I need to start eating better (my blood pressure was a bit high at my last check up) and I want to start exercising again. I just vainly want to keep my nicer boobs and ever so slightly more curvy body. |
| Do they have to look 'great' without clothes? If not, why not just employ a push up bra? |
I have cleavage for the first time in my life. A push up bra has never achieved this for me before! Turns out I just needed to gain a little weight haha. |
| You’re older and eating right and exercising will not necessarily translate into weight loss. Calorie deficits are what create weight loss. Just eat healthy foods in reasonable portions. |

Nothing wrong with working with a nutritionist to maintain a healthy weight. Because that’s what you need — to stay at 19 or above while also feeling like you have healthy habits.
Buy new clothes. |

Unfortunately you cannot control where you lose weight. Like previous post, if you want to keep the boobs or guarantee they remain implants or water bra.
If the boobs came with weight gain they will go with weight loss/fat loss. |
OP if your current BMI is 19, you can definitely keep those boobs! I would recommend lifting weights and eating healthily, but without dieting. Lift decently heavy and follow a basic progressive overload model. I like Cheryl Coulombe on YouTube. I bet you will really like how your body looks if you do this. And you will feel great too. |
+1 Same here. Some people think I've gotten breast implants when I've actually just gained weight. I can tell they don't believe me and I'm tempted to say, "Here, have a squeeze!"

No.
For some reason I don't carry much fatty tissue from the waist up. It means I have a tiny waist, thin arms and torso. A cup, at most. When I gain weight, my bust looks fuller. When I'm at my usual frame, I look great in clothes. You can look curvy in lingerie/bikini, or look elegant in clothes. Not both. |
