How do guys feel about a woman who had plastic surgery?

Is it no big deal and fine?
Would you be fine to date but pause to marry and have kids?

I grew up in America but in my home country, many women get plastic surgery. My child has a friend who is below average with two beautiful parents. They could be the poster child for plastic surgery while their child has no features of her parents.

Wondering how people feel when the person they are dating had plastic surgery. How do you feel when you see an old photo and they look very different?

If you look like one of the Real Housewives, huge turnoff

"Plastic surgery" is a huge group of people.

I would bet someone like Amy Adams or Michelle Yeoh or Michelle Obama or Meryl Streep has had even some minor plastic surgery. I hate this word but if they have, it is "tasteful." Understated. A true natural enhancement.

But then you have people who have had plastic surgery that makes them look dramatically different from their natural features or gets into uncanny valley territory. Talking about (to greater and lesser extents) Zac Efron, Nicole Kidman, Demi Moore a few years ago, and Michael Jackson. I would have an ick about a lot of that.

Then you have people who do something like get a nose job (Jennifer Gray maybe?) where it changes their face but not really anything but the nose.

This is very individually specific, about how it makes an individual look and how someone feels about obvious face and body modifications.

Lol and welcome to the poster who thinks they can tell who everyone is that's had Botox!

Lip fillers look stupid.

I agree it should be to maintain features and smoothness but not looks like a cat face and plastic. The latter just reflects shallow, vain values. Hopefully they bring something else to the table, like Dolly Parton does.

I had a breast lift and tummy tuck done after having children, and I recently had a lower blepharoplasty. No complaints from my spouse.

Men can tell when they’re looking at a rock-hard forehead and no smiling eyes or eyes brows.

My husband goes to Dallas for work and now can’t stop laughing in restaurants or shops or meetings.

If your wife suddenly decides to get plastic surgery after years of marriage, brace yourself for trouble, she's not doing it for you. It's all part of her exit plan.

Plastic surgery is often obvious and unattractive.

If you don’t come home laughing from NYC, Miami, and LA, then you have just said men can point out bad Botox not Botox generally.

Plastic surgery doesn’t make you look younger or better. When a 40 year old gets plastic surgery she doesn’t look 35 she looks like a 40 year old who’s had plastic surgery. Big turn off.

So many clueless posts itt. Several of my girlfriends had nose jobs. Both of them had men tell them how much they love their “natural” appearance. Most men are entirely clueless and don’t notice well done subtle plastic surgery.

No big deal and fine. Very understandable to “fix” what they thought was a nose, chin, ears that they didn’t like, and it’s ok to enhance other features (big is fine until they start to look bolted on), even a little Botox is understandable. The only one that bothers me is lip fillers, maybe because when you’re having a conversation you’ll be watching her mouth and can’t avoid it.

And when a 25 year old gets Botox, she looks 40.
