Door Dash wasted over 1 hour of my time today. They e mailed me a 45% off coupon code

I tried the coupon at 3 BIG NAME national restaurant chains and each time the coupon code did not work at checkout.

I emphasize BIG NAME national restaurant chains because I wanted to make sure I eliminated much smaller restaurants who may not be able to afford offering such a significant discount to their customers.

I tried to call Door Dash but they proceeded to put me on hold for over 25 minutes until I finally just gave up and hung up the phone.

Why offer coupon codes to your customers that are not going to work at checkout?

Not OP but some restaurant websites direct you to door dash, toast tab, etc. because they apparently don’t want to manage running takeout orders.

Use the help feature on the app. You can text with a live person. I’ve done it multiple times with excellent results.

And usually there is a markup going through DoorDash or Uber eats or grub hub. If it’s significantly more, I just call the restaurant. Even the swankiest places will take a pickup order over the pup e.
