Can’t speak to the kids, however I will say that I fully expect there to be some confused and frustrated parents that begin to understand where their players fit into the whole picture.

Seems like a down year overall for the area 26 clubs, and that can't be a good signal.

Yes and 2025 was down and 2027-2029 look even worse for the DMV

Doom and gloom before any of the ‘28s or ‘29s have set foot on a HS field.

Down year for 2025? Which club or clubs are you referring to for the 25 class?

More keyboard warriors focused on club team rankings instead of individual commitment outcomes. Posters that obviously do not have kids that are actually in the mix for playing in college. Go on inside lacrosse and report back on how dismal the local 2025 commits were. I’ll wait.

The number of D1 committed kids in 2025 class was down from previous years.

Insane to post anything about how 2026 DMV fares until the end of October. Clearly posters on here don’t have a clue.

If you’re on the top DC travel team or one of the top Baltimore clubs you’ll be fine. If not, it will be a challenge unless the goal is lower tier D1 or D3.

How much down were the 2025s? And is that because of the portal or COVID?

I see quite a few during travel that have some grand ambitions and most will be let down. While the DMV 26 class may be slightly ahead of the 25/27 classes, the parents of the 26s seem to have their aim set a but too high….while good they are not what the parents think they are. Reality will come Sept.

**Speaking as a whole from my limited view of the people an interact. No I do not know EVERYONE from here to Balt, so go ahead and hold your comments. However, based on the DCUM 26 threads most y’all crazy anyway. **

Not sure about all that. How many "top" local DC teams are you including? 2?
DC area spits out about 40 D1 kids a year nowadays. Half of them at least to the bottom half of D1.

So 15-20 in the top half. That doesn't sound like "everyone will be fine".

Sorry, might've read it wrong if meant only the top DC area club.

20 local kids to top half of D1 is a solid result. There is a ton of competition nationally and other areas of the country are spitting out more talent every year.
