Which Colorado schools have your kids toured and liked? Or mountain towns in general?

Which Colorado schools have your kids toured and liked? We are a big ski family and all 3 of my kids have expressed interest in going to school in the mountains.

Boulder is a beautiful place. Drove through campus but didn't tour.

Why not Vermont?

Is it super granola? Kids are sporty and like to ski but not really outdoorsy.

They have an annual bike ride to Canada. Very crunchy

Mine is at CU Boulder and loves it. Lots of kids get a ski pass, and most kids have Friday afternoons off to ski.

I was using outdoorsy to mean kids like to do a lot of outdoors activities like hiking, rock climbing, skiing, kayaking. Iโ€™m not sure how you using the word.

There aren't that many colleges in Colorado where kids come from out of state. Come out here and tour CU and DU.

If kid has lower stats, or needs a safety, do some online exploring of Montana State Bozeman, which is a very popular choice for CO kids looking to get out of state for college but still want skiing Maybe CC if interested in LACs (note the block schedule). Same for the University of Utah.

If looking for LACs, then see Colorado College (note the block schedule) and possibly Fort Lewis College in Durango, though that is quite far.

Sorry for typos above. Re-do:

If kid has lower stats, or needs a safety, do some online exploring of Montana State Bozeman, which is a very popular choice for CO kids looking to get out of state for college but still want skiing. Same for the University of Utah. Maybe Colorado State Fort Collins. I believe all of these have engineering as well, if that is of interest.

If looking for LACs, then see Colorado College (note the block schedule) and possibly Fort Lewis College in Durango, though that is quite far.

Know someoneโ€™s kid who attends University of Utah and he skies a lot. Look at DU, CU Boulder, Colorado State (not as OOS oriented), Colorado College, Montana State, UVM, Colby, Middlebury, Dartmouth, and St. Johnโ€™s College Santa Fe.

University of Utah is way better for access to skiing than CU, CSU, CC or DU. We live in Colorado and UU has gotten really popular with kids from our high school the last several years because with the WUE or in-state tuition after a year it's more affordable than Boulder or CSU.

And if you're asking why not Vermont, you're not a skier.
