Why does Blonde Hair look bad on some

Anonymous
For example, Megan Fox looks significantly better with dark hair.

But Scarlett Johansson has similar skin tone and looks far better as a blonde.

Britney looks better as a blonde (with a tan and dark eyes), but Ariana grande looks better dark

Skin tone, skin color, and color/tone of the blonde is the answer. I look good with a cool blonde but awful with a warmer tone. But generally my skin tone and color looks better paired with brunette hair.

Their eyebrows are too dark and the hair looks too fake..

Most people look best with a hair color that matches their tone. That isn't blonde for a large portion of people

It's about finding the right tone blonde, but some people just look better with darker hair. My example is Jessica Seinfeld:

wow that is remarkable how much better she looks with brown. esp because the brown, like teh blone, is relatively warm

Olive skin tone vs peachy skin

It's cheesy and very 1980s but color analysis is a thing. I'm a "spring" so I look good with warm and bright blond. My sister is a "winter" who used to dye her hair blond and it doesn't look as good as it does now that she keeps her natural color, a medium cool brown.

It really is. A very helpful thing, especially for designing a wardrobe.

Also, the older you get there's less natural color in your face and the lighter hair, especially in the wrong tone, can totally wash you out and make you lose any contrast in your appearance.

Weird. I used to look good with blonde hair but could also go red. As I've aged, blonde looks terrible on me, but red still looks good. Undertones don't change, so I am not clear what happened.

I heard long ago that the best hair color for anyone is the color they had as a child. This has certainly proven to be true for me - I had very dark hair as a child and look best when I keep it very dark/cool brunette. Lighter tones do nothing for me.

Great example. She was probably a brunette child and so looks best with her natural hair color. The blonde looks awful.

And for picking makeup!

Terrible style/cut, some use too much product, some dye it too light, some don’t wash enough, etc
