Retake Spanish after getting a C

Would you have a student retake Honors Spanish 3 if they got a C
They have no desire to keep taking language courses as it is a struggle, but I am pretty sure they could get an A if they retook it. Already have taken all other electives and has a pretty tough schedule this year. So the thought was to retake it to increase GPA but nervous it will look bad on transcript. |

what grade is your kid in?
If 6-8 I would suggest maybe a summer retake or just drop the course if 9-12 I would say yes, definitely do a summer retake but then also possibly drop it |

I don't know how it works for retake if you do it during the school year but for summer retakes we were told it overwrites the old grade, but it will show it was taken in the summer. The advantage is that the old C will be overwritten and no longer be part of the GPA. |

Talk to the counselor about how the transcript looks. Also, you need 2 years of WL during HS, so hopefully this will be it. |
