Creepy man on flight WWYD

Anonymous
I was on a flight yesterday and an older man diagonally in front of me was scrolling through his phone and it caught my eye because a picture popped up of a young woman in a bikini posing in a way that I knew it wasn't his daughter. Well, admittedly I was nosy and continued to watch as he flipped through a ton of grainy photos of this young woman, some other girls (appeared of legal age just decades younger) and pics of the backsides of others in restaurants/bars (looked like someone took those pics w/o knowledge). He was zooming in on some of the backsides, etc. It just felt... off. Would you have said anything to a flight attendant, etc? Not sure what they could have even done. I get that this likely was nothing but if it was a situation like sx trafficking person, who would you report it to?

Doesn’t sound like any law was broken. Nothing to report and no one to report it to.

As weird as it was, doubtful anything would be done. Maybe they would move you or him.

So, you were spying on someone minding their own business and think you should ... <checks notes> "say something?"

What?

Yeah agree... and to be clear I didn't feel like one of us needed to be moved. Just got VERY bad vibes from him that if he's looking at that content on a plane, what is he doing in private with these girls?

I don’t think there’s anything you can do. The dude doesn’t have the self-control to not do his creepy scrolling in public. It’s creepy but not illegal.

He was looking at images of women in swimsuits and you think he’s sex trafficking someone? Did he have a woman with him or do you think he was shopping for his victim online and flying to pick her up? I don’t get how looking at pics on his phone (not even porn from your description) gets you to assume he’s sex trafficking.

This is so commonplace now. Guys live in a porn-soaked world on their phones. Mindlessly scrolling through bikini girls on IG is an everyday thing for many of them. Is what it is.

He’s not doing anything in private with any girls because he’s a porn-addled old dude with no training on how to act in public.

MYOB. Unfortunately this is where we are with technology—old men spending a flight staring at a$$ on their phone. Nothing to be done about it.

You can't be looking at someone else's screen like that, especially not a personal device.

Wait what? He wasn't sex trafficing or looking at porn. YOU are the creep for looking at his device.

True and it's sad and pathetic.

Lots of confusion here.

The guy takes "peeping tom" pictures of people in public and then ogles them afterward.

You could start in with him when he's taking pictures or looking at them, but this is not something worth creating a disturbance and diverting an airplane midflight.

He shouldn't be looking at things that offend others or getting himself aroused. I would probably be too intimidated to say anything but I don't think you would have been wrong to do so.
