W&M vs Richmond - thoughts?

Anonymous
hi all - we are a new england family and my DC wants to consider these schools as a potential track athlete - her times seem to
fit pretty well at both. Don’t really know much about either at this point, but was directed to this site by a close friend. High level pros and cons of each and how they compare academically, socially, type of admits favored, prestige,
job placements, or anything else! thank you in advance..

Richmond will be patriot league, so you'll get to go to some meets closer to home

W&M is a university so naturally it’s a better institution. Liberal arts colleges are not good schools. Williams has the outcomes of a T200

Richmond is a university, too. It’s in the title. You’re an idiot.

W&M is more diverse and has a varied range of types of students (everyone can kind of fit in and find their people…er, tribe…there). Richmond is more preppy, wealthy, and insular if that matters. W&M has a strong reputation for track and the team is very close. A friend’s son is on the team and having a great experience (they’re from the Northeast).

The food is probably better at Richmond from what I hear. And the Richmond dorms are probably nicer. Private vs public.
