on Aspen...at least for my J-R kid. I didn't get an email about it but just decided to check. |
Does it include class ranking? |
SWW transcript does not include ranking - does include notation of "summa cum laude" if your GPA is 3.8 or above (my understanding is this is the majority of kids ![]() |
JR transcripts include ranking. I just looked. |
I was told that DCPS requires rank to be on all transcripts. JR says it doesn’t rank, but the transcripts have the ranks because it’s a DCPS document. |
So, step by step, how to find it? I see two secondary report cards and then I see how attention is required to sing up my kids again even though I did that three times. Exhausting.
I'm sending them to school on 26th and will see if they are accepted. |
You were told wrong. Like PP said, SWW does not provide class rank. |
JR never said it didn't rank...that is a Walls thing.
The rankings are on transcripts, not report cards. You can find the transcripts if you go to "documents" in the family section tab after logging on. For whatever reason, my student can't see/access it when they log on but I can. |
Curious what maximum GPA was for freshman year (Walls or JR). My kid ended up with straight As - a 4.29 (weighted). But kid had a couple of middle school "A" grades that counted on her high school transcript that did not get any extra weight . . . so I imagine highest possible weighted GPA after freshman year is higher? |
Middle school grades show on the transcript but they aren’t included in the cumulative GPA. |
Well, JR says it on their common app ha info form: https://jacksonreedhs.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/CommonAppHSDetailsSY23-24-1.pdf |
Almost all kids ![]() |
Ive got a 9th grader at Walls, all As, same GPA - I think thats on the higher side because she had an extra honors class in the mix which was weighted |
According to my daughter (who may be very competitive), the maximum would be someone with all A's, who went to Oyster-Adams (so they were in a higher Spanish level that gets additional weighting) who is also part of an academy (which also has an additional class with weighting). Not sure what that comes out to, but if the 4.29 wasn't #1, I'm guessing it was just higher than that. |
Or all A's, in an academy and taking an AP. I think it is slightly higher than 4.29. |
