Infertility Support and Discussion
| No one seems to like him here but I recommend Dr dimattina at dominion fertility |
| Look for an RE, not an OB/GYN. I would research and go for a consult with Dominion and Shady Grove. |
| My Dh and I loved dominion Fertility, we had Dr. Gordon, but we saw both doctors during our last cycle, their staff is excellent and I wish they delivered babies because my experience with my ob's staff has been less than pleasant. |
| My vote is for Dr. Greenhouse at Shady Grove... He is great!! |
|
We've been really happy with Dominion Fertility, too. Dr. Gordon is our primary but because of vacation schedules I've also seen Dr. DiMattina and like him a lot. Can't go wrong there.
As for OBs, I was very happy with Reiter Hill for my first pregnancy. I prefer the Falls Church office -- lower volume and therefore a bit more calm than the downtown office -- and liked all the doctors I met there. |
| Another vote for Dominion, especially given your location. Don't buy the anti-Dominion sentiment on this board; if you read closely you can tell it's one to three posters, max, who always write negative experiences. Dr. Gordon is more warm and fuzzy; Dr. DiMattina is more no nonsense. Both, along with their lab staff, are top notch. Good luck! |
| I'd do consults at shady grove and dominion and then decide |
| Sacks at Columbia Fertility. I would consult there before Dominion. |
| I second Dr. Sacks at Columbia Fertility. A great man who truly cares about his patients. |

Been to SG and DF, found good and bad things about both places but ultimately had success at DF so they get my vote
|
| I just saw Dr. Abassi at MidAtlantic/Columbia Fertility in Bethesda and was pleased with the visit. She was very knowledgeable and I felt more at ease with her than any of the other, MANY doctors I have seen regarding my secondary fertility issues. She's in the same office with Dr. Sacks. |

I highly recommend Dominion Fertility, Arlington VA. South Glebe Rd. Dr. Gordon and Dr. DiMatinna. They are the best fertility doctors in this area and get results.
They gave me 3 kids all through IVF. Two of the three were frozen cycles. I can't not speak highly enough of them and their staff, they are simply the BEST. Also, for a recommendation for OB/GYN--Dr. Elliott and Dr. Lashgari at Virginia Hospital Center. Very caring, loving doctors who LOVE kids! |
| Dr. Paul Shin downtown is a urologist that works with male fertility issues. He consults with Dr. Frankfurter's Fertility practice at George Washington Medical Faculty Associates. I only had an initial consult with Dr. Frankfurter and my husband saw Dr. Shin for other issues. DH did the sperm analysis with Dr. F, but we never got either his or my initial test results back b/c I got pregnant. Unfortunately, my problem is staying pregnant. DH like Dr. Shin. I like Frankfurter, but don't know anything more. |
| My DH (prior vasectomy) saw Dr. Shin and he helped us retrieve viable sperm to use with IVF and ICSI, we combined the efforts with the doctors and lab at Dominion Fertility. I highly recommend both practices, but you should see an RE first to determine what you need then consult others if necessary. |
| Love Dr Gordon at Dominion Fertility, I went in today for monitoring and saw their new doctor, she seems really nice. |
