Do you iron your kids’ clothes?

Do you iron your kids’ clothes before school? If not, what do you do?

I am tired of ironing t-shirts, but my 10 yr old DD insists it be done.

At what age can kids iron on their own?

Ironing tshirts?! Anyone who wants a tshirt ironed had better learn to do it themself.

My 8yo irons perler bead things so I assume r she could do clothes.

I iron church clothes that look terrible wrinkled.

Heavens no. I have a full time job on top of parenting. If I had a full time housekeeper maybe.

No

Are they wrinkled because they’re sitting in the clean laundry basket for too long? I’d start at the source and help her figure out a way for her shirts to not get so wrinkled in the first place. Can she hang them in the closet instead of stuffing in drawers?

If it’s just her being particular about wrinkles most people can’t see, teach her to iron, and let her do it herself.

Wtf I don’t even iron my own clothes! Why did they need their clothes iron before school? Throw it in the steam cycle!

Stop ironing and take your kids to a therapist for their OCD. Not normal 10-year-old behavior.

I iron our daughter’s dresses. I think wrinkles looks unsightly and I feel my grandma’s judgment when the kids leave the house in wrinkly clothes.

Get her a steamer if you’re worried about safety. Obvs can still burn you but not as bad.

I might if it’s a special dress but otherwise no. I’m not crazy nor are my kids.

I hate wrinkles, but only a few things get ironed....take things out of the dryer and fold them immediately and you should be good with the t shirts.

I just counted it up.
I have ironed my 14 year old son’s clothes five times:
1) baptism
2) first communion
3 and 4) elementary school band concerts
5)6th grade promotion ceremony

He has ironed a shirt on his own twice
1) confirmation
2) 8th grade dance

OP has to be a troll- no one irons t-shirts

And in the .00001 chance that it's not a troll, no, I don't iron anything. I put things I the wash or take them to the dry cleaner.

And you should do the same.

Never in a decade of parenting.

Never. And I donated my iron about 5 years ago and have never looked back.
