Please, tell me the stores good for teens and tweens girls school clothes!

My 14 and 10y old girls want new clothes for school but, honestly, I have no idea where to go to buy them.

Up until recently I bought their clothes online, mainly from Boden.

The older girl was into a phase and bought her clothes online from cheap websites for the past 2 years or so.

But now they both want to go to the mall - which stores to visit? I want in and out… visit a few stores, get what they need and leave promptly.

Which stores should we visit besides Forever 21?

Arguably the worst two outlets for teens at national Harbor. Instead go to Aries/American Eagle, Hollister, Nike and H&M.

Tyson’s and hit up PacSun, Garage, AE, Hollister.

Georgetown and hit up Urban Outfitters, Brandy Melville, and Lulu

So simple. Go to the mall, look into the windows or just go in and see if you like what they got.

American eagle
Aerie
Uniqlo
Maybe gap or old navy
J crew outlet if they have a preppier vibe

Francesca’s if they want little dresses or maybe urban outfitters (but we never actually find anything there)

Honestly it’s hard to get in and out so host plan on making it a fun outing and don’t get frustrated.

I'm sure the teens prefer to know the opinions of a middle aged mommy blog lol

I did stitch fix for my 6th grade DD. Two boxes was enough to freshen up the wardrobe. She hates store shopping.

My kid's shopping tolerance is low, so I usually buy online and then return a bunch of it.

I find it really helps to settle on a color palette for each kid. For example, navy and dark gray as the main neutral colors, plus purple pink and turquoise as the "favorite colors"-- whatever your kid likes. That way most things go with most things.

My older kid had her growth spurt and can wear kids XL or ladies XXS. This means shopping is kind of overwhelming, too many options. I have her sit with a book and I fill a dressing room for her. Then she tries on and I am her assistant.

Athleta Girl also has some nice options for smaller sizes, especially for your 10 yo OP
