My rising 9th grade DS does not care at all what he wears / looks like (yet). He's starting at a new school this fall, and while it's not known for being uptight about fashion, I'd hate for him to show up looking obviously like a 6th grader. He mostly wears jeans or joggers and graphic tees from Target or Old Navy. |
My rising 9th grader wears Joggers and Nike tshirts. |
My 11th grade son has worn the same thing since late elementary school - athletic shorts, tees and hoodies. The only thing that’s changed is the logos have gotten smaller. There are boys who are into fashion and those who are not. |
No jeans.
Nike or Adidas shorts (not too baggy), sweatpants (not toi baggy), hoodies, white or mostly white sneakers. |
Athletic shorts, T shirts, hoodies. He has mostly black sneakers because that is what is required for reffing and he is too lazy to switch out pairs. |
It depends on the school. Mine wears jeans and tshirts and hoodies. |
Haven't seen a teen boy in jeans in ages! |
Athletic shorts (the shorter nylon ones from Nike or Fabletics etc)
Sweatpants-more fitted, not super baggy (Nike is a good choice) Hoodies - various Tshirts- various Nike sneakers or sometimes I see rubber athletic slides with socks That seems to be what most wear. Jeans are less common. |
Yes! My son does this and it is such a mystery to me when it is as hot out as it is now. Just wear the slides alone! |
He sounds fine to me!
My kid and others at his school wear: Jeans, loose cords, or loose chino-type pants (people are so weird about this… yes, many kids wear actual jeans and pants!) T-shirts - plain or graphic Flannel shirts - oversized, open over at-short, untucked (very 90s) Hoodies Athletic shorts Sneakers - anything from Converse to actually running shoes Birkenstocks - with socks (god forbid the toes be seen) |
17 year old
No jeans. No one wears them. Khakis or Nike sweat pants T shirts (not graphic) Hoodies (Patagonia or Carhartt) Lululemon shorts (the shortish ones) Nike blazers or leather flip flops |
My son does this with crocs. It's awful but pretty common for boys here. |
My kid wears a uniform to school (golf shirt and shorts), but after school, my kid wears athletic shorts and t-shirts (various kinds). He's a fan of Nike so most of this stuff is Nike.
No jeans. On days he has to dress up he wears khakis. |
Asong as they aren't wearing pictures of superheroes or random slogans like "LADY KiLLER", anything is fine
|
+1 Partway into 9th grade he started talking a lot about his ‘fit’ and would occasionally try to dress a bit better (joggers, flannel etc) but 90% of time is athletic shirt, t-shirt (athletic or from his sport or a trip but pretty subtle). Crocs and socks (white Nike crew) or Nike dunks (Air Force ones are also acceptable. He just upgraded his crocs for Birks for 11th grade |
