| Where have you had a good experience with an online/low human interaction/low haggle buying experience? |
| New or used? |
| tesla for new |
| Definitely avoid any of the Stohlman Subarus in the area. |
| Costco pre-negotiated pricing |
Weird. We had a very good experience buying new at Stohlman Tysons. What was your experience? |
| I need therapy just to get over the last two buying experiences. Probably going with Tesla next time. |
??? |
Wanted to buy a new Outback, knew exactly the model, went there to buy it. Started out ok, and quickly negotiated a number we all agreed to. At that point, our case was turned over to some finance type sales manager, and I had to wait in the lobby for nearly three hours. When we finally got into his office, the paperwork he'd prepared was well over the number we'd previously negotiated. At that point I'd had enough and walked out. Unbelievable. |
That would piss me off too. Glad you walked. Was it Stohlman Sterling? They were trying to get us to put a deposit on a car they didn’t have in stock. Utter horseshit. We got Crosstrek at Tyson’s. Agreed on OTD price and picked car up no issues. We were in dealership for the typical couple hours though. Very good process. |
| For used: Carvana delivers to you and has a trial period. CarMax is supposed to be no haggle. Have not personally used either. |
| Fitzgerald dealerships have a no haggle policy. Our experience there was pretty good. |
Do not use Carvana. They have caused many customers a headache with their lack of administrative follow-through. |
DP. Bought at Stohlman Tysons via email. No hassle and no surprises when we went to sign papers, hand over check, and take the car. |
We used Fitzgerald for pricing comparison. If the drive away price elsewhere were not lower, then we would have bought from Fitzgerald. We found the various "pricing services" to be mostly useless to us. |
