| My daughter is 5.5 and starting K in the fall. She still has…what I dont know what else to call?…toddler tummy. Like distended stomach and very skinny everywhere else. She is my third and I can’t remember when my older kids lost this forum but I feel it was by 4 tops. She is very healthy, no allergies or bathroom issues, she just seems to still have her toddler figure. Anyone else notice this in their almost K-er? |
| Go to therapy. |
| Must start Wegovy yesterday! |
| Mine has it too at 5 as did her sister. Who stretched out by 7 but her head is still bigger for her body and she grows in spurts. All bodies are different. |
| Ask the pediatrician in case they worry about anything digestive going on. |
| Toddler figure? Wtf. Please get help. |
| If your pediatrician hasn't flagged it then it's not an issue. My kid is five and the kids in her class range in build from little blocks of muscle to string beans to still have pudgy hands and cheeks like a 2 year old. Kids grow differently, some have little kid builds for longer. Also several kids that I know get a little tummy before a growth spurt. |
+1 (But any chance she has worms?) |
| Dude WTF am I reading. This is totally normal. Your thinking and body dysmorphia is not. |
| You have problems. |
| Totally normal. My kid is nine and still has toddler belly but with super skinny arms and legs. Nothing to worry about. |
|
Please do not pass along your body issues to your FIVE YEAR OLD.
You need therapy before you f*** up this child for life. |
lol |
| "Toddler tummy" is from weak ab muscles. It'll go away on its own as your kid gets stronger. |
| My kid had this until late elementary, now very slender (rising 7th). |
