Just for everyone's clarification, Kamala Harris wasn't the border czar... that's made up

She wasn't put in charge of the border or solving any problems.

Biden asked her to handle some of the diplomatic work "solving the “root causes” of migration from countries like Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras, tackling the issues that spur people to flee in the first place, like drug violence and lack of economic opportunity."

So her "job" was to hold diplomatic talks with the governments of Central American countries and find out what they're doing to stop being terrible places that migrants want to flee from.

Now that we know this, we can talk about her a little more clearly, and hopefully we can use this thread to help identify when people are being disingenuous about her role and we can educate those who don't know.
