Weird bug - just mucus in back of throat, no other symptoms

I don’t have a sore throat, but it’s definitely uncomfortable. It’s keeping me up at night since there’s constant mucus running down the back of my throat. I gave an occasional cough but it’s coming from my throat, not my chest. No fever or nasal congestion. It started about 4 days ago. Anyone else have this?

Yes, this was how my covid started, in May.

But, I also have experienced allergies this way too.

Sounds just like what I have. Started with a very mild cough for about 3 days. Yesterday I woke up with a wicked sore throat and body aches. Today no more sore throat or aches but massive and painful head congestion. Covid tested yesterday and today (normally we wouldn’t test but I work in a residential facility and we still require quarantine if positive) and both tests were negative.
Just another run of the mill virus I guess.

I was waking up with this same thing every day for 3 weeks until I finally decided is was probably allergies and perhaps related to the terrible air quality during the long heat wave. I started using Nasacort nose spray and it has helped significantly. I'll probably stop using it when the air quality improves because I don't like using the steroid spray for too long.

I have it too. I got covid at the end of December, struggled with bronchitis-like symptoms until April, symptoms came back for about 10 days in June, then I was fine for a few weeks, and it’s back again. My mom is a doctor and has been prescribing different things throughout the past 6 months and nothing is helping.

Yes and it’s covid. It took several days for the test to turn positive.
