What do you use it for? Bought some for a recipe and now have a giant thing to use up.
Sprinkle on popcorn, pastas, eggs, really whatever savory food
I'll have it on roasted chickpeas, and on farro/roasted veg bowls.
Think of using it where you'd might sprinkle some parmesan cheese for a little flavor. I make tofu crumbles with it. The recipe is in this link for vegan chili---it's buried in there as part of the overall recipe, but I use them for rice bowls, vegan tacos, etc: https://itdoesnttastelikechicken.com/the-best-vegan-chili-ever/#recipe
Ooh, all good ideas, but I'm oddly really excited about popcorn. I like more flavor than salt, but don't like using the popcorn sprinkles with all the things I can't pronounce - this could work!
It is amazing on popcorn. Salt pepper olive oil and nutritional yeast is our mix. |
Great with roasted potatoes.
Mix into salad dressing, Whole Foods used o have a garlic tahini kale salad that used it.
I like it on pasta and popcorn.
It’s the best! |
It also makes a great Parmesan replacement as said above. Vegan “goldfish” crackers are great, as is vegan “Parmesan” made with cashews and nutritional yeast. It keeps forever and is a great sprinkle on the table.

I also like to put some in my mashed potatoes for extra flavor without adding too much excess butter. |
Add to blended cottage cheese with taco seasoning and warm it up for something close to queso. Use 4% cottages cheese.
On scrambled tofu for breakfast. The 101 Cookbooks recipe for scrambled tofu uses nutritional yeast.
I love adding it to sandwiches (mix it with kewpie or mashed into avocado). Excellent on noodles.
