Too late for anyone to change clubs or leagues

Q4 GA. We will tryout for NL team and can settle in RL for the next season. Hope ECNL can have a transit plan soon.

Id stay on the better team until things are officially decided. Those ECNL clubs will always take quality players. You will have more leverage to get on a ECNL once its official.

I don't like to switch clubs in the mid of season. She should make the NL team. If not, we will consider between GA and RL and hopefully have more news leaks at that time.

Don't leave mid season just pick the stronger team or better coaching between GA/ RL. Your kid will get their ECNL chance in 26/27.

Why would you leave mid season?

If California is switching rules mid-season, the person may have assumed other organizations will. Which is likely not the case.

California leads the way for the Western US.

That announcement came from CalSouth. Are there ecnl and ecrl and ga teams in the CalSouth organization?
Anonymous
SOCal seems to think people need to pay attention to the decision making from their organization.

Calsouth is 90k players and 150+ clubs

How does the CalSouth announcement affect ECNL or ECRL?

The CalSouth announcement indicates that you can "change" registration in Spring 26 instead of USSF Fall 26, so there is a wiggle room.

The statement on registration not changing for 25/26 was so loose, this is not surprising.

I’d suspect ECNL changes too. Some heavy hitter ECNL clubs are part of cal south.

"Spring 2026 Registration Period: We will ask all clubs to begin using the School Year season available in the registration system as the standard starting with the Spring 2026 season"

That's a little more instruction than "can"

Calsouth is the second league in California, SOCAL is the better of the two by far.

Also, spring is the start of the new season out here.
