And word on the Landon/BL scrimmage

I saw on a previous post that Landon got crushed against BL... something like 9-2 at halftime

Gonzaga 1 Sp 8 half
Gonzaga 7 Sp 12 Final

I know it's only a scrimmage but I am a bit surprised by this one.

I believe St. Pauls has a new head coach (he is in his 2nd year) and they are building their program back up. While St.Pauls by historical standards has an excellent program with a rich history, in today's era, they aren't in the same sentence as BL, McDonogh or Calvert Hall.

Is Gonzaga still missing some starters or is this really going to be a long season for the Eagles?

St Paul's pulled its starters at the half. Gonzaga looked awful. One or two players won't fix it.

Gonzaga looks like a JV team right now. Poor stick skills and IQ.

No idea they would have this kind of drop off. Did they have some players transfer?

Most Gonzaga kids who attend the school are not at the school solely for athletic purposes.

You might find that at rival schools in the league such as SJC but my sense is Gonzaga really does serve a higher purposes and the students buy in.

This is such a load of crap. I like the dig at SJC now that they beat Gonzaga in pretty much everything with 1/2 the population of boys. Both schools are committed to service and heavily recruit athletes. They are similar in more ways than they are different. Probably why the rivalry is so intense.

Gonzaga has talent. Lots of D1 commits strong goalie attack but chemistry can hurt performance if that’s what this is. Other teams in the WCAC also have these things.

Buy in? Is that what you call destroying property and exposing yourself in public. Higher purpose? Ha

Gonzaga folks are such a self righteous group. How about another fight at the Irish Times. Lol

GZ trying to play the STA card? Yeah, we might suk, but our kids are better people?

The Gonzaga parents got what they wanted... they drove Casey insane and he ultimately decided he no longer wanted to coach on Eye Street anymore.

Now they have a new coach, and I have a weird feeling, this might not work well for him either (and he has a full-time job to deal with)

SJC runs this town in lacrosse now. Don't get it twisted.

More like Casey could see what was coming. They have a good JV team.

Gonzaga still has a few good players. May finish 4th this year. All about how you finish. Everyone has some injuries this time of year.
