Why is the media not covering ICE resistance in LA?

An immigration court appointment is not the same as a citizenship appointment. These are recent arrivals who could and should have been immediately removed, but Biden instead let them into the country on parole.
Trump administration has instead dropped the case, and with no case pending they turn into expedited removals. For expedited removals, there is no more due process required.

Np. If Biden let them in on parole, then they are simply doing what our government permitted them to do. You don’t have to agree with Biden’s decision, but according to your own words, they were allowed to be here. Why did Trump prioritize these people over the rapists and gang members he promised to go after? Simply to undo everything Biden has done?
Because no due process needs to be given. They are easy removals that require less resources.

MAGAs absolutely NEED to get this one key fact through your heads:

The Constitution guarantees due process for anyone on US soil. The Fifth Amendment says "no person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law." No PERSON. It DOES NOT say "no citizen" and it doesn't differentiate based on citizenship.

And this has been repeatedly reaffirmed by the Supreme Court, for example Yick Wo v. Hopkins (1886), Zadvydas v. Davis (2001).

Stop saying "no due process" - you are completely, irrefutably wrong and you are trampling the Constitution when you say this.

Yes the whole uneducated, unskilled, illiterate economic migrant poor and needy world knows all those USA loopholes and exploits them. Gracias times 30 million.

What they are exploiting is 40+ years of complete lack of coherent immigration policy. And before you try to lay it all on the heads of "Democrats" it was YOUR people like Ronald Reagan who promoted turning a blind eye to migrants, not enforcing laws and so on. For example Reagan's 1986 Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA) that gave amnesty to 3 million illegals. Or Bush's Guest Worker Programs Expansion (2000s–2010s) – Under George W. Bush, the H-2A visa program for agricultural workers expanded, providing legal pathways for migrant labor but with limited enforcement against visa overstays. This sudden GOP hysteria over illegals didn't happen until Trump. That's an absolute fact.

So what does this tell us about the MAGAs and the hysterical anti-migrant posters here on DCUM? It tells me that either a.) they are uninformed and know absolutely nothing about their own side's history and policy and are completely talking out of their asses, just repeating whatever their cult leader says, or b.) they do know better but are here lying, being dishonest and disingenuous, are just trying to stoke outrage and falsely smear the other side, and are willfully trying to deceive the people who don't know better. Either way there is NO c.) "we were right, we've always been right, we've always been consistent and factual for the last 50 years."

That said, spare us your self-righteousness, and if you are category a, maybe go away and try to do some reading and brush up on your history, if you are category b maybe go away and do some soul searching because you are truly not a good person.

illegal immigration is a crime.

It's a misdemeanor the same as a speeding ticket.

They are MAGA and proud to be terrible humans.

OK. Tell us.... what other laws is it ok to break?

Laws against.....
Theft? Petty larceny? Shoplifting? Assault? Murder?

Which laws are not important enough to enforce? Give us details.

If your child was critically injured and there was no emergency service nearby, would you drive the speed limit to get them to the nearest hospital? Or would you get them there as quickly as possible and deal with the legal consequences later?

OK. You have come up with an instance where one might break traffic laws. Although, most people would say wait for an ambulance or police because the last thing you would want to do is get into a traffic accident speeding down the road.
But, that is not a good example of why an illegal alien would break our laws and enter illegally.

The GOP controlled Supreme Court has ruled and affirmed that simply being in the country illegally is not in, and of itself, a crime. So you are starting with a false premise.

And, you know what the penalty is for entering or residing in the US illegally?
Deportation. Yep. That is what they said.

How about working here illegally? Both Melania and Elon did it.

They committed visa fraud. This is well documented. ICE should be raiding their homes and shipping them off to black sites in Central America or some war zone in Africa like they are doing to harmless maids and farm workers.

And to put it in context, so far in this fiscal year, per Trump's ICE's own data, 97.5% of the people they arrested, detained, deported, disappeared to black sites have ZERO prior arrest record or criminal conviction whatsoever.

Yeah... I'm right. The most recent data shows that 3 out of 4 have criminal records.
You need to stop making shit up.

WASHINGTON — During the first 100 days of President Donald J. Trump’s second term, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has arrested 66,463 illegal aliens and removed 65,682 aliens, including criminals who threaten public safety and national security. Three in four arrests were criminal illegal aliens, putting the worst first

Crap like this is why trust in the media is at an all time low.
And if the X post is not enough - the reporter apparently made no effort to find out the details of the story.
Stories like this have led liberals to believe that "ICE is snatching children out of schools" and "pulling people off the streets and throwing them in unmarked vans."
This reporter should be ashamed.

I was at this operation with Noem. It wasn’t targeting a “pregnant mother”, it was targeting her previously deported illegal alien Mexican husband who had been convicted of drug trafficking in February & had an attempted murder charge pleaded down to an assault conviction. ICE had a criminal judicial warrant for his arrest, signed off on by a federal judge, because he illegally re-entered the U.S. after removal, which is a felony.

Of course, none of that context is in
@KTLA
reporting here as they only spoke to his wife, who apparently *shockingly* didn’t disclose any of his criminal history.

Why would supporting deportations now necessarily mean that I supported the policies of Ronald Reagan, whose term in office ended before I was born?

Policies and priorities shift over time. Things that weren’t as important 40 years ago can become more important to people over time. You have to know that.

If you come to this country unlawfully (or arrive lawfully and overstay), you should probably scrupulously follow the criminal laws of this country.
