2029 Girls

A better example than what the Pride 28s should have done is what the Crush 28s did. They were a top 5 club from 5th -8th grade and they stayed together. Many of them would have been welcomed with open arms to Hero’s, M&D, Skywalkers or coppermine, but they had a good thing going and didn’t want to break it up. And talk about taking a risk. Crush doesn’t even have a high school program. Based on their performance during the summer after their 8th grade year, they were still placed in the top brackets of all the fall tournaments and will continue to do so.

So, M&D DC 29s, you will be fine if you stay together. You have proven you belong in the top brackets and you will stay there in the fall, and probably have the privilege of beating capital. And you have something crush doesn’t; the backing of a club with national recognition and benefits to having you succeed.

There are three people on this forum. You’re not convincing as many people as you think you are.

Going to be a few unhappy parents come July.

More than a few

That's what Romulus Augustus said.

So when this team breaks up and the few parents caught off guard where do they go?
Anonymous
A few very unhinged parents and it’s only May. Do your homework

Crush 2028 had a college-level dad coach in Mike Faith, which makes it a fairly unique situation.

Looking like you guys are not going to get tired of this ongoing Vaudeville act you're running.
Admire your resilience.

Since you mentioned it, recent Capital classes:

2025s:

UNC
Florida (2)
Stanford
Duke (2)
ND
Hopkins (2)
Michigan
Dartmouth
Vanderbilt
AZ State
VA Tech
Cinci
Gettysburg
Marquette
Holy Cross

2026s:

Yale (2)
Princeton
Michigan
Duke
Army
Denver
Harvard (2)
Dartmouth
VA Tech
Florida State (2)
Mercer
Oregon
Bucknell
Holy Cross
Columbia (2)

Yes, Capital used to have some highly ranked teams for recruiting. Used to.

Every Capital class for the past four years has committed their entire teams, and a majority of those players have gone to top 25 programs. The 27s on deck are already getting buzz from coaches hitting their pages and will prove to be the same.

Why on earth would you bet your daughter’s future on an untested pony with 20-1 odds rather than a stud with a winning track record?

Enough on the Capital v Next Level nonsense. How were the NGLL playofffs today?
Anonymous
HG beat MD DC 13-5
Coppermine beat MD black 9-3
Championship game tomorrow HG vs. Coppermine

Coppermine/M&D score is surprising. Next Level/HG sounds like a beatdown

That's a tough playoff result for M&DC after playing Hero's Green pretty close in the regular season.

M&D DC is not M&D Black. Even if we take the PP at her word — that DC will get recruiting help from the mother ship, which is highly doubtful — it’s a lock the club’s RD will prioritize M&D Black players, the flagship brand, over DC players come recruiting time.
