It's not news. No field solution was given for fall. Email just referenced a change in policy on spectators moving forward and listen where people can/can't stand to watch on the currently used fields. |

Wasn’t there supposed to be an email yesterday with the coaching slate for the remainder of the spring season? These guys just continue to promise and then not deliver. |
There is a general breakdown occurring at FCV or the future St. James soccer program. Tryouts are being run by individual coaches and no inependent eyes are being used. BC who originally impressed many is failing to provide basic overview of what's happening in the GA program. The quality of players trying out for the 2008 GA program is significant inferior of what will be required to compete in the GA mid Atlantic division. This appears to be generally true for all of the age groups. Some of the coaches are outright goofy. BC will fail because he doesn't have the necessary skills etc to have influence over a broad scale of teams. His initial approach was misguided because he thought he would coach the best girls teams in the club only to slowly realize most of those teams players were being dispersed or absorbed into other clubs. AB is now exposed as having been lying through his teeth to parents promising big things, great new coaches, permanent fields space, quality players. This turned out to be big lies and people noticed. Now, what remains are second and third team players who aren't prepared for the higher level of competition in the GA or for tournament games against ECNL. The league play will likely result in last place teams and ultimately being booted from the GA just like metro united teams. This will ultimately lead to the dissolution of the st. James entire girls program. The coaching slate is weak at best and parents are tired of AB's lies and misleading behavior. St. James entire Loudoun program will be put onto jeopardy due to a general lack of credibility. The parents of the second rate p.aers will soon realize how badly they've been misled by this program and theirs elves because they wanted to b3lieve their kids were actually good players. This will lead to parents that are angry and upset at the leaders...BC and AB and they will want blood. |
cool story bro |
Wall of text alert... lol
FCV will be fine, they'll just slow their expansion plans and spend more money to try and shore it up. |
Spot on. I don’t think StJames realized just how many players would leave, they did nothing to retain them, and now they are scrambling big time. |
The 2014 St James girls who have been practicing year round for 2-3 years, in the the St James Springfield facility are pretty dang good. They are supposed to feed into FCV's GA team, but it seems most of them will not want to drive out to Leesburg. Wonder if the St James will part away from FCV and just keep a program in Springfield? |
Thank you for the report on a U10 team, 2014 St James mom. |
LMAO y'all got a long way to go and if you're in Springfield already at FCV, only makes sense to check out FVU and SYC too, cause FCV is over and done with. |
Boys side that died before it ever got started, girl side falls off of cliff. |
Keeping the program in Springfield was probably always the desired outcome, but all the existing players near Loudoun and would have left if they did that. In a weird twist of fate, that's exactly what happened anyway, and now FCV is committed to Loudoun and has no players. And now it's too late for them to move to Springfield because there is now another GA team in Springfield and they don't have any fields there. What a cluster. Best move at this point would be to cut their losses in Loudoun and team up with SYC. |
I don't think BC did his market research prior to committing to FCV. |
I'm not sure that's entirely true....I think he was sold a bag of (fill in the blank) by AB. BC probably knew FCV was a nationally known brand, good reputation, two recent national championships (2006s and 2007s) in the last few years, and then what Adam sold him on everything else (yeah, a few girls might follow the coach, but most will stay and STJ investment will attract better reinforcements, etc.). You have to feel bad for BC at this point. For his/his family's sake, I hope he has an "out" and can stay put in Seattle. |
This makes too much sense, but watch come 9-12 months from now, the idiots in charge will annouce FCV as an ECNL club, further diluting the player pool in NoVA, 4 ECNL and 2 GA is the right number for elite girls clubs probably 1 too many ECNL still, but better. FCV should just merge with SYC if it wants to be in Alexandria, or with VRSC if it wans to be in Loudoun. This is too easy, why do they complicate it so much |
