What is the difference between the futsal tournaments that all claim to be "nationals".
I think one is in KC, one in Vegas, and one in Orlando? All in July? |
Different organizations Vegas = U.S Futsal KC = US Youth Futsal Orlando = World Futsal |
Is one more prestigious/better comp than the others? |
Not really |
| are any local teams participating? |
| heard its being streamed live on the ESPN8 the Ocho! |
The US Futsal tournament is the largest and most competitive. United Futsal is strong as well but a lot of that tournaments draw comes from their marketing. USYF is the weakest tournament. |
it's futsal, who cares |
Did you see the latest Obscure Sports Quarterly? It talked about about the national futsal tournaments |
Orlando = United Futsal World Futsal is a World Championship co-hosted right after National Championship by United Futsal in Orlando |
USYF is the weakest AND the largest pool of teams. Ironic. |
|
Personal experience. USYF and US Futsal are both competitive depend on the age group and year. I find U12 and under generally are very competitive and depend on which regional tournament you attend. Some are more competitive than the other. Last year USYF in Kansas in certain age groups had a bigger turnout than US Futsal in Vegas so it really depends.
Don't know much about United Futsal but heard unless you play at the highest bracket, it's more about the $$$ but the top bracket is pretty solid competition. |
Americans have no idea
|
Does it matter? Futsal is a dead-end between seasons gap fill. |
| None of the "big name" clubs (Ginga, SUSA, etc) are in KC |
