With all the taxes we pay to live here.
|
Whenever they say "for everyone" or "for all' something is actually being taken away from us. |
| We have Clemyjontri. I know that's technically VA, but still. |
| It is in Palo Alto, CA, where the average home value is $3.5M. |
| Why don't the people that live in DC take care of our public parks the same way the people in that community take care of that park? |
| OP …. Great troll job comparing Pablo Alto with DC. This should be a good thread. |
Hadleys playground in Potomac |

Oops I meant Hadley’s Park in Potomac. Looks like there is also a Hadley’s in NOVA

Clemyjontri is actually Virginia, not just technically. |
You think DC pays high taxes compared to Palo Alto?! |
| Lots of playgrounds like this in the suburbs. |
Clemyjontri is terrible. Designed for little kids but no fences or gates. DH and I were run ragged chasing our kids all over the place. Cute idea, poor execution. |
| Feel free to advocate for it OP. With enough community support stuff like this can happen. That said, most playgrounds operated by DPR have several accessible features. I don’t think there’s one that is quite so accessible for mobility challenges though. |
| Because you can’t have anything nice in DC. |
This. It's amazing what happens when property taxes can be spent indulging the wealthy instead of supporting the poor |
