We are considering renting out our condo. Just wanted to see public opinion for what you might rent this out for. (this is not a call for people to argue the merits of selling vs renting).
Columbia Heights Basement Condo 850 Sq ft 2br 1ba Private Outdoor Space New Appliances, Washer and Dryer walking distance to metro. |
| Is there a bathtub, a dishwasher, air conditioning, would tenants be responsible for snow removal or any upkeep of outdoor space (mowing, etc.)? |
Check craigslist for how much units are going for near you |
yes bathtub, dishwasher, air conditioning No to upkeep of the outdoor space. |
| ~$2500 / month |
|
Probably $3,500
But Search for 2/1 rental in the building and around the area to price it correctly. |
For a basement? $3500 seems high but I could be out of touch. |
| Is it a legal space with egress windows/exit? |
| I think $2500… maybe. Probably less. People really don’t like basements and col heights is getting a little sketchier these days |
| My first thought was 2500. No one is paying 3500 to live in a basement. |
| Just look it up on zillow. That's the market clearing rate. |
Agree. You could get a really nice 2bed 2bath with a view in Arlington for that much and not worry about getting shot. I would never pay that to live in a basement in CH. But then I would not live in a basement or in CH period. |
| It also really depends on how much natural light you have. |

2000 tops
It’s a basement condo in the most crime ridden part of NW. know your place |
