Nova privates with rolling admissions?

Anonymous
Moving to Vienna, looking for any privates in NOVA/Fairfax with rolling admissions for elementary, 4th grade this year. Willing to drive 30 min each way. Open to religious but not Montessori.

Not exactly "rolling" but look at Green Hedges in Vienna. They are only Montessori for preschool, not ES.

I think basically you just need to call around to see which schools still might have open slots for a 4th grader. Circumstances change, people move in and out. Vienna's a surprisingly big area, but something like this could get you started.

Dominion Christian (Classical Christian)
Vienna Adventist (Inexpensive)
St Mark's (Catholic)
Our Lady of Good Council (Also Catholic)
Flint Hil (Pricey, but plush)
Trinity Christian (Traditional ed)
Green Hedges (Progressive ed)

Local schools I am somewhat wary of: Lorien Wood (management issues), Pinnacle (Gulen-run)

Even schools that don’t officially have rolling admissions will take the right kid in the right circumstances as an out-of-cycle admit. Just start calling/emailing.

Burgundy (progressive) is not rolling but usually has a few spots, reach out to admissions.

This is a good list.
There's also Congressional School of VA in Falls Church. I don't know anything about them other than that they run a great summer camp!
And Merritt Academy in Fairfax.

Pinecrest in Annandale in a good K6 that might have some openings.

Rivendell in Arlington.

Gülen is the Turkish leader of a bunch of questionable charter schools. More in this thread: https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/875295.page

Trinity Christian closed all applications for the 2024-2025 waitlist a couple weeks ago, but it might still be worth a call.

I would recommend Merritt Academy in Fairfax over Pinecrest and Congressional.

We loved Congressional. And friends of ours loved Westminster in Annandale.
