mini successes?

Anonymous
DH and DS left an open bag of chips on the counter. I bypassed it and got my edamame out of the fridge instead of indulging in even one chip.

I'm not great at this type of self discipline, and have been working so HARD to develop it so just wanted to share my mini success SOMEWHERE

Anyone else have mini successes to share today?

I've been tracking my calories and protein for a month and have lost five pounds. It's not a huge amount, but when I put on my favorite white shorts over the weekend, they buttoned without issue and looked super cute/summery.

I've been tracking calories as well and although I haven't weighed myself my short are hanging better - I'm pleased with that. I personally think 5 pounds in a month is a lot! That's a pound a week, and although I'd like to lose 20 pounds overnight I know it doesn't really work that way ...

Congratulations! Keep it up!!
My mini-success for today was NOT trying a Wendy's creamsicle frosty....because they didn't have them anymore. I've been wanting to try one; but I guess I'm too late. So I drove through the drive-thru without getting anything.

Why were you at a Wendy's drive through in the first place? Yuck.

Nice! That seems like a lot to me; I fight over every ounce and 5 lbs seems beyond reach some days.

Terrific! I haven’t run a mile in one go since high school, so I’m super impressed!

I hear ya! I’m ever hopeful that somehow, some “thing” will magically disappear 20 lbs overnight… the day-to-day is so hard sometimes working and waiting for my extra 20 to melt off!
