| Are you all letting your kids go to the Sabrina Carpenter concert? My 13 and 15yo girls missed out on TS and want to go to Sabrina. I don't like that a lot of the dates are on weeknights. |
No. We don’t have extra funds for things like concerts which are terribly expensive. A weeknight would be out of the question anyway during the school year. |
| Not alone.... |
| Yes. I'm not strict about these types of things on weeknights because they are so rare. |
| I would definitely go with them but I’m all for this kind of thing unless they’re in weird superfandom territory |
Although, I think Sabrina carpenter is kind of dark and I would try to trade with them for Chappell Roan. It’s still explicit, but imo much more wholesome somehow? |
Do you feel better commenting like this? Like, just move onto a different thread. |
| Sabrina is a lot more explicit than Taylor if that's a concern. |
| Not Sabrina, but Gracie Abrams is on a school night and my teen and several friends will be going. She saw a different artist last year on a school night and was fine getting up and going to school the next morning. I think it’s fine for special events. |
| yes, but i'm sure i won't be able to get tickets. I've been tasked this by my teen girls. I was lucky with Taylor Swift 18 months ago and never again with anything. I just sit in waiting rooms. Ticketmaster sucks. |
| We are going to try to get tickets. Do you think it will be hard? I will go with my 13 yo if we do. Nothing can be as bad as TS right? |
| The bigger problem is the show is in Baltimore. I don’t mind an occasional school night and DD14 will go to Gracie Abrams. But Baltimore is a deal breaker |
OP asked whether people are letting their kids go. PP answered and explained her reasoning. Is only one type of response allowed arounds here? |
I specifically told DD we could try for Baltimore because it wasn’t a school night and fairly close. The others seemed to be farther and required missing school. |
| I’m trying for them tomorrow for my 13 year old. |
