Preseed

Just ordered some Preseed from drugstore.com. We were using Sliquid but now that we are TTC I want to make sure that whatever we use doesn't impede our progress! Have any of you used Preseed before? What was your experience?

worked like a charm the first time it was used. well worth the price and I would use it again next time.

Think it is great! Once I knew I was ovulating an triggered with injection used preseed and concieved - two times.

I think it's great! It's perfect for when you're trying and have to be "ready" quite a bit.

My understanding of preseed isn't that it helps conception- it just helps the act of conception (ie lubricates without causing damage to sperm). It's probably obvious but a little unclear from above.

Works well for us as a lubricant but it hasn't gotten us pregnant. Like pp said, good for when you need to be *ready* frequently.

I agree with all PPs on it's effectiveness as a lubricant (though a little goes a long way), but I've been using it for months and still not pregnant. (we've been diagnosed with "unexplained infertility," so it's not like I'm hoping preseed will overcome any insurmountable obstacles.)

FYI, in my one appointment with an RE, he said us mineral oil. We haven't because we haven't needed it. Got pregnant twice with nothing. Just wish those pregnancies had stuck around.

I was eyeing Preseed tonight at CVS, but wasn't sure yet if I should try ... Is it really more effective/better than those "usual" products like K-Y Jelly? I'm willing to try something new, especially if it has a great reputation, though I see it's quite costly, relatively speaking ... So, just curious in what exact ways does it surpass those other lubricants.

It's supposedly a "sperm friendly" lubricant, which is I guess different from (most?) other lubricants.

Most lubricants are not sperm friendly (including KY) and are not recommended for use when ttc. Preseed was developed specifically for ttc and is supposed to mimic qualities of your own cervical fluid.

Does that mean if that you have only a little mucus naturally (I feel like that's part of my problem), preseed will help? Or is it only for when you'd want a lubricant otherwise, and this one is ok for use while TTC?
