| What are your thoughts on this allocation? Portfolio size ~1M, early 30’s. I started with 2% BTC and haven’t rebalanced. |

| Forget Bitcoin. Earlier this year, people got interested in it because of the ETFs. Now that the price is going nowhere, no one cares. Bitcoin is just another speculative investment, and right now, AI is a better play. |
| If someone will explain to me how a “thing” that has a ridiculously slow transaction time, is scarce by design, requires you to maintain custody of the “key”, fluctuates rapidly even day/to-day let alone the peaks and valleys of year over year, and pretty much always needs to be converted to a nations currency to be of any use to settle debts, has any practical function in society and deserves to be valued higher than zero (other than people’s current willingness to pay for it because it’s “cool”), I’ll buy it. Market value is the price someone is willing to pay for something… and people’s willingness to pay for bitcoin doesn’t seem durable for the above stated reasons. |

Leave it alone right now. Rebalance when Bitcoin goes up and that happens next year. It's going sideways right now.
Mine shows 150% but I know that's not the top. |
| I think you are 90 pct conservative so it's fine and BTC is least volatile crypto. |
| I’ll be laughing when the government seizes all Bitcoin and jails everybody that ever possessed one. You’re gonna be first, buddy-o |
At that point the landlords will have already been shot and the Wall Street bros put in concentration camps - full blown communist revolution |
Someone forgot to take their meds lol |
| OP I think that is a perfectly fine and even conservative allocation to crypto. |
| As long as you sell before everyone else, and your BTC aren't lost or stolen in a fraud, you won't be the one holding the bag. |
It’s an epic game of musical chairs |
I thought it was HODL no matter what? |
So you are early 30s with 900k in diversified stocks. You will be fine. |
| If you use an automated investment company liek Wealthfront this is easy to do. They let you do up to 10% in crypto, and they buy ETFs not hold BTC directly. |
