Should I get nanny’s son a graduation gift?

Anonymous
I don’t usually give her gifts, except for a bonus at Christmas. But we had a minor disagreement recently and maybe this would be a nice gesture? Or would she see it as overcompensating?

And if I do, would $50 Amazon gift card be appropriate or too low?

I think that would be a nice gesture.

Yes and yes. You should give the gift even without having had a disagreement. She looks after your kids. You share the experience of being a mother. A gift to her son acknowledges her child, in light of all the things she does for yours.

I want to hear about the disagreement.

What was disagreement about? Do you feel now that you were wrong?

Why not? OP has no obligation to get anything for anyone in the nanny's family. As long as the nanny is being properly compensated, all good.
