Airport Outfits 2024 Summer

Curious what you are wearing to the airport for travel this summer. Share links.

I remember a thread a few years ago where there were nice travel sets people shared. I cannot recall if it was the Eileen store or where but I know quality is hit or miss nowadays at places like LOFT.

What is a travel set exactly? Like athleisure?

I always like to be fully covered in case I get cold and just because plane seats are kind of gross. Jeans/t-shirt/utility jacket usually. Change into a casual dress in the airport if I am going somewhere warm.

Stretchy pants and an extra layer on top, with sneakers and socks. Don’t overthink it. No one cares and flying is miserable. It’s a lot more important what candy you buy and that your ear buds are charged.

I’ve done a couple of international travel trips recently and noticed that travel sets are not a thing. Most people wore regular clothes that didn’t look like loungewear.

If it's a flight under 10 hours, I just wear normal clothes. For flights longer than that, I wear Vuori joggers and a sweatshirt. My priority is comfort, not style. The lights are off on long-haul flights for 85% of flight time, anyway, to encourage sleeping.

Layers. White tshirt, long flowy pants, light cardigan or sweatshirt

I just bought the lunya travel set. It's hideous, but super comfy. And slip on shoes

I actually bought this as a special treat for myself for the flight for my 50th birthday trip. I may resell it. It makes me feel a little more bulky and less fabulous than I had imagined/hopes. The fleece is very thick, which is sort of luxurious but yeah. I feel bulky in it. And the knees stretch out and make me feel saggy.

Omg. Dumpy as hell.

I wear Beyond Yoga pants on overnight and long flights because they’re soooooo soft and comfortable. I pair them with a long sleeve yoga top and fleece and call it a day.

The Frank and Eileen set mentioned above is $386. I know you can find a knock off at Target.

If you do decide you want an expensive golden girls suit, the Spanx air ones are genuinely yummy. Have a fabric shaver because they pill.

I mean obviously not like, take the fabric shaver with you. I just mean if you buy the clothes you will want to have one if you don’t already.

I saw someone wearing one of the soanx suits in a flight and she looked great. She was about 55 and very fit if that makes a difference. I asked what she was wearing because she looked so comfortable but also put together.

I’m now tempted to get the vuori joggers for my trip to Hawaii. I definitely don’t want cropped anything because my ankles get so cold with the plane a/c! I also have one of those long open sweater cardigans I love for lo ny flights—it’s like wearing a blanket.

Zella brand from Nordstrom makes some good Vuori knockoff items. Not Target cheap but Vuori is stupidly expensive for what it is.
