Julia Rogers teacher in MVA: closure of this program would impact our students, 800 students, at the mva students show progress, 27 on chronic absenteeism list now down to 11 after students were placed either by their parents or home school to MVA.

Amy Eye: brought a student who is excelling in MVA. student's questions are: don't we count? another student has requested the mva not to close. the MVA stakeholders were promised in Feb that MVA would stay.

Friendly reminder that this so-called bare bones budget is 99.2% of what mcps requested.

Victoria Hill: some ES don't have a landline, emergency capability school wide panic buttons, 911 calls could not be made from school. school security assessment tool by department of homeland security

Also Amy Eye: Amy Eye: the $5M to fund the MVA is important for students like this 5th grader who is too shy to attend in-person school and who gets too easily distracted by the sounds and noise of in-person school.

And obviously it’s not enough if they have to threaten layoffs and increase class sizes. Don’t talk at anyone about woulda coulda shoulda. This is the reality and it’s not acceptable.

Julia Guillen Williams: survey 4K+ responses on feedback for search for superintendent. on survey respondent could select race ethnicity but latino was left off the survey until the last few days of survey. as a result looks like responses on the survey are from only 1.3% of latino population in a county where 35% of population is latino
