9:00 UMBC Graduation

| Graduation starts at 9:00. Students need to arrive by 8:00. Does anyone know if parents can enter auditorium/seats at 8:00? |

| Probably not. There is a line for guests that gets very long, so please don't arrive at the last minute. Basically if you're driving your kid there, and they go in at their side door, that's when you get in line. |

We had ours there last week. We were told kids HAD to be there by 8am and doors would open for parents at 8am.
Warning-- we thought we left enough time (based on Waze) but the traffic accumulated as we traveled and we were 15-20 mins late (as were a ton of other people). (So I don't know if they allowed people in before 8am or not!) |

| We also had ours last week. Our school told seniors to arrive at 7:30. All parents had to wait out front until we were let in. I guess they let us in at 8? |

| We left Rockville around 7:15 and arrived at UMBC around 8 am. Traffic was fine until close to the venue. Took us maybe 15 min to park and get to the front entrance, which was open, many people already seated. I would guess they were letting people in from around 8. |

Us too. Our senior drove with friends and we got there about 8:45–husband dropped me and I went in and saved a seat. No line for us to get in and still plenty of seats (but we only needed 2). There was a bad accident on belltway plus a small one on 95 so did take a full hour to get there. The backup off the beltway exist was also about a mile and took adopts 10 minutes to do that final mile. |

| Add at least one hour than what your map app tells you. You will need for traffic, parking lot, to make sure your graduate arrives on time so THEY can use the bathroom before lining up, you can use bathroom and find seats especially you are a bigger group. The music bus is leaving early too. |

| We were there for a 9 am graduation last week. Arrived at 7:30 but they were very strict about not letting anyone in, including to just use the bathroom. I had to walk my mom several minutes to use a bathroom in another building. They did end up opening doors earlier than 8:30, maybe around 8:20 (and maybe because ppl were complaining about the bathroom situation). |

| Why aren't we surprised? Can't fix bathroom availability situation within school, how could they manage it at a place outside their schools? Oh, MCPS. |
