For me:
-make dough instead of using pre-made dough for pigs in a blanket and pizza - homemade cookies, crumbles + cakes instead of pre-order made |
| I’ve been making Cinnabon’s. |
| Beans. It's amazing how many dried beans, once cooked, I can get for an equivalent of canned beans. |
|
Dried beans in my Instant Pot
Homemade English muffins, pizza crust, artisan no-knead bread I enjoyed making cookies, muffins, quick breads before inflation got so bad, but now I hardly buy any sweets at the store. I make our birthday cakes now, too. |
| Salsa, guacamole, Mexican black beans |
| I’ve been making my own fois gras from those pesky geese down by the lake |
Be careful!

Not inflation but I finally figured out how to make good restaurant filet mignon so we only do this at home.
Egg salad sandwiches, quiche, fried rice, crepes, chicken pot pie |
| Cereal. |
| I planted an almond tree. |
| I love those freaking TruFru, frozen fruit covered in chocolate. But it is so expensive, I started making my own. They are 95% as good but about 30% of the price. |
| Pizza dough and cook it on the grill using a pizza stone. |
|
No, can't cook or make anything to save my life. Can't eat all those carbs. I need a vegetable garden, but vegetable are not even up that much at Aldi.
My work also feeds us. |
How do you make this? |
| No. |
