What happened to frozen yogurt?

You can hardly find it grocery stores. Ben and Jerry's makes some including cherry Garcia which is impossible to find. The freezer se tion is filled with non dairy ice creams loaded with fat from oil and low carb ice creams with artifical sweeteners. I still prefer frozen yogurt as a lower fat alternative to ice cream.

It just doesn't taste that good and it has a ton of sugar, even more than ice cream, just to counteract the yogurt flavor. If you look around, you can find lower fat ice cream. Check the store brands instead of the designer pints.

It sucks that's what happened to it. Plus, so many other lower calorie choices now.

Awareness for diabetes and obesity happened.

It all got transported to the Good Place.

Get a Ninja creamy and make your own. That way you can control the sugar and fat content and add whatever ingredients you want.

I think people just take those yogurt sticks and put them in the freezer

For those who think that it "sucks", Tutti Frutti and Sweet Frog are still chains that are making profits. And they seem pretty popular whenever we stop by them.

Also, I still see some brands in the store. But the brand names are all different from what they used to be. Mayfield, Noosa and Yasso seem to be some of the ones out there.

Cherry Garcia fro yo is the best! It definitely has fewer calories than the ice cream version. I used to be able to get it at Giant, but no more. I’m with you on this, OP.

Desserts go in and out of style. There’s only so many types of ice cream you can put in the freezer at the store.

Frozen yogurt is supposed to sound healthy but it isn’t. People eventually caught on. Well, everyone except OP…

The only places people still go to are the ones where you can pile a ton of junky toppings on it.

I’d rather have a small scoop of real ice cream or custard or gelato than nasty low fat frozen yogurt.

I like Kemps at Giant. The back cherry chocolate chip is really good.

Frozen yogurt was a product of the low fat/high carb diet trend of the 90s.
