Please share your best creamy coleslaw recipe

I am looking for creamy and crisp coleslaw. I would like to try both sweet and not sweet recipes. Thanks.

Trader Joes premade in the bagged salad section is amazing. LOL

Here is one I use.

Buy packages of pre-made slaw and add Marie’s Coleslaw dressing to taste.

I love this coleslaw dressing - it has the right balance of sweetness and tanginess.

¾ cup Hellman's or Duke's mayonnaise
¼ cup sour cream
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
½ teaspoon celery seed
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 scallions (dark green parts), chopped, or equivalent amount of chopped chives

Whisk these dressing ingredients together until well mixed, then add about 1 pound of store-bought bagged shredded coleslaw, or use your own combination of shredded red and green cabbage, shredded carrots, and maybe some chopped green pepper if you like it. Mix well and chill before serving.

Marie's dressing is very sweet for those not in the know.

I use Marie’s and then add a tablespoon or so of white vinegar to amp it up. The amount depends on how much of the dressing I am using— do it to taste. I personally like a lot of vinegar.

Love this Miso Lime Coleslaw!

I use a bag of pre-shredded cabbage or (a mix of things) like broccoli, etc.

I like the Bobby flay recipe, my only tweak is to use apple cider vinegar and celery seed instead of celery salt.

Do not buy bagged mix. It is dry and gross. The difference between using bagged and shredding your own vegetables is vast.

Shred: green cabbage, red cabbage, carrots.

Dressing: I use 1:2 ratio mayo and plain yogurt, a splash of apple cider vinegar, maybe a teaspoon of brown sugar, teaspoon of Dijon, salt and pepper. Thin with water to get consistency you like. I prefer it on the thinner side, taste and adjust ingredients. Add some fresh chopped herbs at the end, parsley or dill is what I usually use. Tarragon is good too

Not traditional coleslaw but you can buy the chick fil an avocado lime ranch dressing at the grocery store now and I toss that with shredded cabbage to eat with Mexican spiced chicken or fish.

I prefer a non traditional version as well using TJ’s cilantro dressing.
