Is there a school like Yale (size, liberal arts, residential, east coast) but with 25% admission rate?

William & Mary…but it’s technically a litttle south of “East Coast”

Vassar is Yale's former sister college. That's as close to Yale you can get. Not sure whether Vassar has a residential system.

Vassar's acceptance rate is well below 25%.

Huh? Virginia is East Coast. Literally has a coastline on the Ocean.

Vassar made think of Poughkeepsie. Which made me think of Marist. Which has 6,000 students and a good chance of acceptance at 60%. It is not Yale, but is anything?

You can be south of north. And west of east. But not south of east...

Yeah I get it but at what point does “East coast” turn into “the south?”
Some would argue Virginia hits that mark.
And at that point it’s not really about whether the state touches the ocean.

Believe me—no one who says “I went to school on the East Coast” when they really mean Virginia

And it has 2500 students, so too small by OP’s criteria.
