This is really nice of you, Lisa. May I suggest match.com? I know so many people who have met their spouses that way or at least started long term relationships. JDate is also good. You can start a profile for him.

Is he definitely up for being a step-dad? Because that comes with the territory with respect to posters on DCUM.

Does he have children? Why isn't he married or involved currently?

Any more details? Has he ever been married? Any kids? It's nice of you to look around for him!

I might know of someone... I'll ask around. It's tough being single these days.

Isn't JDate only if you're Jewish?

ITA with a PP. I met my DH on match.com, and we are happily married with kids 9 years later. The good thing about a service like match (or probably any of the others) is that you know that the other people are looking too. It gets you past that awkward point with someone you meet IRL where you're wondering if they're single, are they looking to date, etc.

I was one of those people who thought that I'd never do online dating... until a good friend of mine met her sweet, handsome, smart now-husband on an online service.

Not necessarily. I know a few 40-something women in this area who don't have kids. Especially around here, there are some career women who haven't started families.

Many men this age date women in their 30s. What's his age range, Lisa? Does he want children of his own? Has he been married or in a long-term relationship?

No, I know several non-Jews who have profiles there. It's mostly Jewish, of course.

I think this is a bogus posting b/c the email address Lisa gave does not work.

Nope. But, I do and other DCUM posters might know some of these women.
