U13 and under to tournaments like SuperCopa, etc

I'm sure it's the same discussion that clubs not in our region have re: Jefferson Cup and WAGS, but what's the real, actual value add to taking a U9-12 (and arguably U13/14) on a plane trip to SuperCopa and the likes?

The real, actual value is in the experience and memories that your kid takes out of going. It's a well run tournament that attracts high level teams from a broad area who want to play challenging games against teams they don't normally see. Kids that age can also get that from the more local tournaments you mention, but in part because other non-local teams choose to come to them. Ultimately, if you have the money and your kid would enjoy it, go for it. There's no value add outside of the memories you're making with your player though.

If you have the money and time, go. It makes no difference in terms of soccer. Kids loved the hotel pool and beach. Don't really mention the soccer.
